Indefinite fast at H.Q.

Urging expeditious wage settlement to stop harassment of BSNL Workers through vindictive transfers and demanding minimum Trade Union facilities to all Registered Trade Unions BSNL Workers Alliance as per schedule is launching indefinite fast at Delhi on 6.07.2009 and token fast at Circle H.Qs.

Due to some progress in the talks Dharna on 3rd July, 2009 deferred but due to pressure from wasted interest BSNL management is not ready to consider the just demands of the workers. As the deadlock continues, to-day, BSNL Workers Alliance decided to launch the hunger strike programme as per schedule.

Accordingly, K.Vallinayagam, GS FNTO, N.T. Sajwani, SG NFTE, S.P. Sharma, President WRU, R.K. Kohli, Secretary NFTE and other national leaders will sit on hunger strike in Delhi from 6th July, 2009.
